Started in 2021 as Dorset Web Design, our Egret Digital founders knew from the outset that it’s usually quicker, and cheaper, to build a fresh website from scratch rather than try to update or repurpose an old one.

The Team
Gideon – CEO, marketing and development
Stay true to your principles, let your imagination soar
Gideon has been involved in website development and search engine optimisation (SEO) since 2006.
He was the director of a website development company in Bristol, contributing to the development of hundreds of websites and the director of an app development company producing apps for Fortune 500 companies, TV and film studios and the NHS.
For more than a decade he has specialised in web optimisation for medical (private hospitals, consultant surgeons, healthcare services and brands), business (engineering, training and safety) and professional (solicitors and accountants).
Louise – Development
Developer, technical lead, project planning and team management… Louise has almost 20 years’ experience of web and software development, a keen eye for detail and a particular passion for Cascading Style Sheets (CSS).
She enjoys finding creative solutions, and loves working together with designers to bring our clients’ visions to reality. She is a dog lover and keen supporter of environmental charities.
Julian – Writing
Julian has 30 years of experience in research, writing and editing across a wide range of media. He gained a first-class honours degree in Writing at Middlesex University, is the author of two literary guides and has published numerous short stories.
Julian has worked for many years in prisons delivering reading, writing and arts projects and has more than three decades of experience writing and editing magazine features and web content for leading European publications.
He is a dog lover with interests in contemporary fiction, nature and sport.
Kessia – Design
Kessia has over 20 years’ experience in online design, illustration and marketing. She trained in design for electronic media and spent her first ten years as an illustrator before concentrating on graphic design.
Her versatile portfolio includes magazine and catalogue production, packaging, POS, animation, photography and branding. She has interests in art, writing, sport and the outdoors.
